Some of our customers come across an issue when they go to select the “Payment Account” in B2Bpay, and there is nothing there to select (see example below). If this is the case, you will need to go in to your Xero Account and add a code to your Bank Account (where you receive funds) or add a bank account with a 3 digit code. Follow our step by step instructions below to get this configured.
Log in to your Xero Account by clicking here.
Once you are in Xero, click on the ‘Accounting’ tab, then click ‘Chart of accounts’.
Once you are in your Chart of Accounts, you will likely see your Bank Account listed (where funds are deposited when you receive payments). If this is the case, follow the instructions below. If you don’t see your bank account listed, go to Step 3.
If you can see your bank account (example below), click on it.
This will open a pop up box where you can edit. In the box under Code, type a 3 digit number. It can be anything as long as it’s not used for another account in your Chart of Accounts.
Now return to B2Bpay where you are configuring your Xero connection, and refresh the page. You should now see the bank account, and can select this as your Payment Account.
Click on the ‘Save’ button.
If you have gone into your Chart of Accounts and can’t see a bank account. You need to add a bank account to Xero.
To do this, click on the + Add Bank Account button.
Follow the prompts to add your Bank Account. There are detailed instructions on how to do this here.
Once you have added your Bank Account in Xero, refresh the page in your B2Bpay Dashboard and you should be able to select your Bank Account as your payment account. If you still can’t see it, follow the instructions listed in Step 2.
